Inner Dialogues - a statement of intent.

I have just been re-reading Conversations With God, Neale Donald Walschs' bestselling series of inner dialogues. I find it an interesting concept and whilst his books ultimately examine the oneness of existence, the part of it I find most interesting is the concept of the dialogue. At a low period in his life, Walsch wrote an angry letter to God asking questions about why his life wasn't working. After writing down all of his questions, he heard a voice over his right shoulder say: "Do you really want an answer to all these questions or are you just venting?" Though when he turned around he saw no one there, Walsch felt answers to his questions filling his mind and decided to write them down. The ensuing dialogue became the Conversations with God books.

Although the books are wrapped in a vague omnipotent Christian mystery, it is the questioning process that  I find interesting. Whether you believe that you are actually accessing a higher power or just being brave enough to question yourself on your own failings and beliefs is down to the individual. I would go with the latter but each to their own, it's the answers that are important, the rest is just a means to an end that you can dress up in whatever trappings you feel comfortable with.

These days I more increasingly find that something or somethings are missing in my life, unfortunately, I'm not sure what those things are, but there does seem to be a few something shaped holes leaving glaringly points of emptiness in  my present state of content. Putting myself on the couch might help me to find out what those things are.
