Pathways

Through autumn leaves he walks with grace
The western wind plays on his face,
Watching the sea, where the currents race,
Ever searching for eternal answers.
The coastal path leads away from here,
To a place of release from aggression and fear,
His final goal that ever draws near,
Where he can lay down all worldly cares,
There is more than one path
To a mystery so great,
More than one key,
To the secrets of fate.
More than one doorway;
More than one gate.
There is more than one path
To a mystery so great.
Embracing the truth he moves ever on
The seasons and years have blurred into one
A lifetime of search on a quest just begun.
No rest for the wicked and less for the pure.
We can all be the pilgrims; we can all be the fool
Open your mind and heed the clear call
Follow the hearts path not self-imposed rules
For all paths lead to the same goal.
There is more than one path
To a mystery so great,
More than one key,
To the secrets of fate.
More than one doorway;
More than one gate.
There is more than one path
To a mystery so great.
